Job description

Our client is part of an exclusive property with large event space, looking for a Meeting & Events Manager. The Meeting & Events Manager will be based at the property managing, leading, developing and supporting the Meeting and Events Team in order to create a sales culture and a great environment to work within. You will need to be commutable to Bedfordshire to apply for this role, therefore all surrounding Counties Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire would be great as a base

The Meeting & Events Manager will ensure the team deliver a customer service experience whilst converting profitable MICE business. Within your role you will identify and implement process improvements, ensure the appropriate focus is on enquiry handling, sales conversions, event planning and administration. As Meeting & Events Manager you will be responsible for the management of the Meeting and Events diary to ensure revenue and profitability is maximized with the right balance of business to achieve the Meeting and Events budget and the monthly revenue conversion target.

The Ideal Meeting & Events Manager will currently be in a similar role possibly as an Events Sales Manager, a Conference & Events Office Manager, Conference Office Sales Manager, Events Manager or a Head of Events with at least 5 year’s experience within a dedicated conference centre or a large volume conference resort / hotel. You will have the ability to influence change with both clients and team members, have excellent communication skills with a professional manner with the ability to build strong business relationships at all levels. You will be confident in your approach, have excellent time management, man management and administration skills and be able to work under pressure. You must have the right to work in the UK to apply for this role.
