Job description

Our client is part of a national hotel company seeking an Operations Manager for their hotel in Staffordshire. This is a great opportunity for an existing Operations Manager / Deputy General Manager looking to gain more experience and utilise their existing skills. The hotel has 140 plus bedrooms and 10 busy meeting rooms, therefore a bias in Food & Beverage, Conference and Events or being an all-rounder would be preferred. You must be based in the UK and have hotel experience to apply for this role.

As Operations Manager you will be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach. You will take control, accountability and ownership for the operations management of the hotel within the overall policies and controls established by the Company and General Manager. The Operations Manager will manage, lead and develop your team with support from your Heads of Department whilst ensuring that the highest of standards are delivered and ensuring budgeted profitability achieved.

The ideal candidate will currently be an Operations Manager, Deputy General Manager or a Food and Beverage Manager in a large hotel and used to working in a fast-paced environment. You must be confident, have presence, have a passion for service delivery, be commercially astute and enjoy working in a busy hotel. The key success to this role is having a great team environment, ensuring excellent customer service whilst growing the business. Experience in both a branded and non-branded hotel would be beneficial along with a good knowledge of all legislative/compliance requirements.
